Clinical Faculty in Community Surgery
The Department of Surgical and Radiological Sciences at the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine seeks candidates for a clinical faculty position in the field of Community Surgery.
The position includes a 90% clinical commitment to the Community Surgery Service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Other responsibilities include teaching, professional competence, creative scholarship, and service.
The current base pay range is $186,600 to $318,600. Other components of pay may be offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions, qualifications, and experience.
Qualifications: DVM or equivalent degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience practicing as a small animal veterinarian in a private or academic setting is required. At least 5 years of experience in teaching and performing small animal surgery is required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated aptitude in clinical teaching of all aspects of small animal surgery. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to join our collaborative team. A strong interest in the oversight of schoolwide clinical education is desired.
